Kindness. Giveaway. {Chambersburg PA Photography Giveaway}

Kindness.  It’s one of those things that takes people by surprise these days, you know when a stranger offers to help you, or pays for your meal because you forgot your wallet, or pick up the $20 that fell out of your pocket and run half way across the store to give it to you instead of keeping it for themselves.  Kindness exposes our vulnerability and shows us all how much we just want to be loved.. need to be loved.  I know each and everyone of you know somebody out there that needs a little kindness this time of year.  I’m asking you to think about someone who needs a photoshoot, someone who has not had family or personal pictures in awhile, somebody who needs a little love.  Then nominate them by leaving a comment on this blog telling me their story, please respect their privacy and ask them first if they don’t mind you telling their story.  You may also send me a private email to [email protected] if you do not want to use their names on the blog.

Here’s the deal:

1. A decision will be made by Friday, November 6th by a group of my coolest friends as to who will win this Kindness Giveaway.

2. You must enter your submission by Midnight on November 5th.

3. The giveaway will be gift certificate for a local (Chambersburg) 30 minute mini-session with digital files on a CD, re-printing rights will be included.

4. The gift certificate must be used before  Dec 10, 2011.

Abby Grace - I love this! I’ve been wanting to do some sort of giveaway for either a session or an entire wedding, and this is such a good way to do it.

Erin Roat - I’d like to nominate the Browning family of Chambersburg. Rob and Sherri along with their wonderful children Dallas, Jurnee, Daniel and Jordan are just so giving and loving to others. Whether it be their time, their resources or their friendship, they are there for people. It is so second nature to them and to see the way that their family interacts with everyone, it really is a pleasure. I enjoy the way that they embrace one another and support each other. Not saying they are perfect (I don’t want to put that pressure on you Sherri), but they are real and genuine—with each other and the world. What if we were all that transparent? What if we all gave as much of ourselves? The world truly is a better place with them in it!

Diane Helman - Selena–I would nominate Rod & Pam Martin. She’s just such a sweetheart, still serves despite all her illness and hospital visits. Someone told me recently that they went to see her at Johns Hopkins and when they wanted to pray with her, she immediately started praying for THEM! She’s a dear, and so beautiful.

Jen D - ok my nomination is for the Jackson family. Shari, Chris and their adorable 1 year old Evalynn have all made a decision to make their health a priority after being diagnosed with Lymes Disease. They have had to dramatically cut their budget/spending in order to pursue the care they need. They would greatly benefit from a family photoshoot as the last one they’ve had was when Evalynn was born.

tina Martin - I would like to nominate Megan Day. She is a young mother of 2 beautiful little girls. Her mother Tammy day passed away when Megan had just graduated from High School. Megan kinda put her life on hold at the time of her mothers illness, she didn’t go to her prom or didn’t do all the things a young girl at 18yrs old should have done, although it has been 4 yrs since that happened, Megan still takes cares of others needs before her own. as a young mother of two children, things are tight trying to make ends meet, She often talks about wanting to get pic taken but just doesn’t have the extra money to do that right now. she has never had pictures take with her and her two beautiful daughters! she also still tries to help her father and tries to guide her younger sister in the right direction. So I would love for this to now be her time to shine!

Brianna - I want to nominate my sister in law Michelle Bumbaugh who currently took in another foster baby temporarily. The love she has for the foster child community is so selfless and amazing! She deserves to be pampered!! Her family is making a huge difference in the lives of these children and it should be recognized.

November 4, 2011 - 10:46 pm

Holli Spidel - I nominate my parents Tonya and Jeff Schroyer. My parents have been through a lot the past couple of years with their daughter passing away and my dads father passing away. They have been staying strong through all the hard times and it really just shows how strong of a relationship my parents have! On january 29 my parents will be married for 25 years and I honestly don’t think they have ever had their pictures professionally taken. I feel that they deserve this because they are honest and caring people and that they need to capture this wonderful memory of 25 years!
